ExpunctionWe can file a Petition for Expunction (sometimes referred to as sealing an arrest record) which will destroy (expunge) the public records relating to your criminal case if it was dismissed, no billed, or you received a jury verdict of not guilty. When a Petition for Expunction is granted a court can, and often does, direct certain law enforcement agencies to destroy records associated with an arrest and subsequent prosecution. Also, you may be eligible for a Petition for Expunction if you were given deferred probation on a class C misdemeanor (typically a DUI or MINOR IN POSSESSION). You can expect this process to take several months, but the result will be rewarding. |
