Mr. Baker has a strong background in the sciences, attending the University of Missouri-Columbia and graduating with a degree in biology. This scientific background separates Mr. Baker from most other attorneys, and has proven useful when evaluating expert testimony and scientific evidence. Mr. Baker began his legal studies at Oklahoma City University School of Law where he received a Dean's Circle Scholarship and Merit Scholarship, and two CALI awards which are given to the law student receiving the highest grade in the class. In addition to graduating cum laude, Mr. Baker received an additional scholarship from the Oklahoma City Real Property Lawyers Association for excellence in property law. Upon graduation Mr. Baker relocated to the Dallas/ Fort Worth area and became an associate member of The Coffey Firm, where he began his career as a criminal defense attorney. Mr. Baker then became a founding member of Baker & Dameron, L.L.C. in 2005. Mr. Baker has also taken an active role in the legislation relating to criminal laws and spoke before the Texas House of Representatives Committee on Law Enforcement during the 2005 session. During that speech Mr. Baker used his persuasive speaking ability to deliver a passionate speech, which was quoted by other attorneys speaking after Mr. Baker, to effectively lobby against a proposed bill.
Craig A. Dameron developed an interest in criminal law while studying at Wichita State University. At WSU, Mr. Dameron majored in Administration of Justice and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. During WSUhis time at WSU, and continuing after graduation, Mr. Dameron worked for a social service agency, where he enjoyed assisting people with their various problems. Mr. Dameron's love for the law and helping others led him to law school at Oklahoma City University. At OCU, Mr. Dameron was a member of the Law Review, Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, a merit scholarship recipient, and was awarded two CALI awards for excellence. After graduating cum laude from law school, Mr. Dameron relocated to the Dallas/ Fort Worth area to begin his legal career. In 2003, Mr. Dameron became an associate attorney for the Law Office of Mimi Coffey. Mr. Dameron joined with Mr. Baker to form the law firm of Baker & Dameron, L.L.C. in 2005. |
