If your license has been suspended, we can assist you in obtaining an Occupational Driver's License from either the County Court at Law (civil) or the County Criminal Court (criminal). An Occupational Driver's License will allow you to legally drive for essential household needs, work, and educational purposes while your driver's license is suspended. If you need an Occupational Driver's License for a subsequent DWI arrest, there may be waiting periods before you are eligible. Please contact our office so we can discuss an Occupational Driver's License with you in more detail.

You are required to obtain a restricted driver license during your suspension period. If you are arrested for a second or subsequent DWI there may be a hard suspension period during which time you will not be eligible for an occupational driver's license. Sometimes this time period could be up to two years for second and third DWI violations.
